Introducing UCI’s First Undergraduate Product Club
What is Product Association @ UCI?
As UCI students, we noticed the lack of a product community for undergraduates on campus. With product management becoming an increasingly popular career path, we want to enable students from any and all backgrounds to learn about the field.
More than a specific major or set of experiences, it’s the process of solving users’ problems and building great experiences that make the most talented product professionals. That is what we hope to bring to UCI.
With that, we are proud to announce UCI’s first ever undergraduate product club, Product Association @ UCI! 🎉
Whether you’re an aspiring product manager or a curious student interested in the world of product, we are here to support you on your journey in product management. Our mission is to foster a community of students interested in product management, product marketing, and product design while enabling them with resources for early-career readiness.
Weekly Events: Speakers, Workshops, & Fun
Starting this fall quarter, we will have weekly events focusing on product management, marketing, and design. You can expect speaker events with PMs from Uber, Facebook, Twitter, among others. We’ll also have university recruiters/company sessions, resume advice, internship panels, interview prep sessions, advice for PM skills, and fun game nights!
Our Fellowship
Along with weekly meetings, our club will also offer an intensive, 2-quarter long fellowship for students who want to fully immerse themselves in product. As a Product Fellow, you can choose from one of three tracks, Product Management, Product Design, or Product Marketing. Then, we’ll put you in teams with fellows from the two other paths to ideate, create, and iterate on a product through its lifecycle.
We’ll host weekly product workshops and deep dives where you can learn from some of the best product students at UC Irvine. We’ll give you professional experience and develop a real solution to show future recruiters what you are made of. After finishing the program, you’ll be equipped with the right tools to succeed in your product career! 💪
